       Peter Ecklund’s Blue Suitcase Trio House Concert in Windsor Terrace Brooklyn        On Sat. Oct.14, 2017 from 8-10 pm              Hear your favorite music with friends                 in the comfort of a living room setting.                          Featuring:         Peter Ecklund on cornet, French horn, and Uke,             Will Holshouser on the accordion and                          Murray Wall on bass. Sponsored by BrooklynMusicStore.com and Don Duggan.          To reserve your seat and order tickets contact     BrooklynMusicStore.com and Don Duggan by email.       You are cordially invited to come hear the Blue Suitcase Trio:

Peter Ecklund playing cornet, French horn, and Uke;

Will Holshouser is on the accordion and Murray Wall is on bass.   Will is well known for his brilliant improvisations  and his mastery of all things accordion. Recently he has been touring with violinist Regina Carter.       Bassist Wall was Benny Goodman's first choice in his later years. 'Nuff said. Murray also played with Ecklund and Bobby Gordon in Marty Grosz's legendary band, the Orphan Newsboys.   In the second set, the Blue Suitcase Trio will be joined by some guest musicians from Shake Rattle and Roll-- the all Parkinson's /Parkinson's caregiver's band.

Thanks to Brooklyn Parkinson's Group and Sing for PD and Dance for PD from the Mark Morris Dance Group for some good  ideas.   You should be warned that Will  and I are notorious mixers of styles. We'll play originals, jug band classics, and jazz standards. Expect us to careen from nicely rehearsed and orchestrated melodies into dangerous seat-of the pants improvisations. Yes, I'll whistle. And I'll sing a few songs, although at this point my style is more First Presbyterian than First Baptist.                                               Hoping to see you on October 14th,                                                         Peter Ecklnd
